Here are the system requirements for the game : http://www.ultimate-gamer.com/cod2/cod2.htm
Unfortunately you have a deal breaker of a system with integrated graphics.
It's that last that's going to make the computer a non-starter for COD2.
The computer also doesn't have an AGP slot so you can't upgrade.

It's going to take more than just 2 pieces for you to get a gaming computer and almost none of the pieces, with the possible exception of the optical drive(s) ( the peripherals should make it also), can be carried over.
You don't need to shoot for the moon, you can build a decent gaming computer for around $800, but the one you've got now was never intended to be more than an office machine or to watch the occasional DVD.
To have some idea of what you need to build just google a few current games and check their hardware requirements.

The minimum requirements for the game, I gave you the link to the game specs page, require either a Radeon 9200 or a Geforce card.
What is your pci card ?

Because your 3d rage is unable to support cod2.
It's time for a new build if you plan on playing those games.

That card ceased to be a gamer card back in 2001 when the first T&L cards, the first Radeons and Geforce cards, were established .
You've got some reading up to do if you want an inexpensive games machine.
Stop by a news stand/magazine store and get yourself a copy of PCGamer ( You don't need to get the pricey cd/dvd copy the ordinary one will do.).
A read through will give you some idea of what games are coming and what it will take to run them and the hardware section will give you some idea of prices (take them, the prices, with a grain of salt since those guys use pricewatch ).
Once you have some idea of what to look for we can help you put together a new computer but the one you have isn't going to do the job.
