There are some computers in a Local Area Network that are connected to a router via switch.
The WAN interface of that router is connected to ISP modem via ethernet cable.
The users on the computers access internet through this router.
There was a problem with the router ,the users were not able to access internet. We checked the connectivity with the router by pinging its Public IP address on WAN interface but got messege of request time out. After restarting the router, when I pinged the router,
I was geting a reply successfully but sometimes it was giving me a messege of request time out.
I just wanted to know what could be the problem with the router? It shows that the connectivity of the router with the ISP Modem is not consistent but could it be an issue of power or voltage that the router is geting from the Power Supply?
I hope my question is clear
