For my wife to have her long awaited 4th surgery on her neck (C6-C7) posterior fusion. But right before she was being moved from the pre-opp room, the doctor came in and canceled. Why? Well because she a couple of yrs ago was having problems with her blood platelets, where her blood doctor say they were not sticking (what ever that means) So they gave her some medication through a IV and all was well.. A couple of days ago she started with that again, it would look like small bruises, so her surgeon told her he did not want to do the surgery and there could be a chance she gets a clot and it would go right to the brain and kill her. So until she see the hematologist on the 17th they will put off her surgery for a month or two.. So that means my vacation I put on hold and will return to work tomorrow, and take it off again, when she is ready to have another try on her neck..

Sorry to hear she had to delay it, Chris. It's for the best though if she's got blood problems like that. Don't want to take any chances with any kind of surgery if you don't have to. Tell K that I said hi, and good luck when she DOES get to go through with it. :)

Ya it is better that she waits, I will say this today she is full of energy, haven't seen her like that in yrs. I got off of work early cause my truck broke down O joy. So today we went out for breakfast (12 noon) now when I get out of these works cloths, we will probably go walk the mall for a while.. Sure is good to have her back to normal for at least one day.. And if she is up to it tommorow after work she wants to head north go Juppy country to hit the casinos..

There is I believe the Win Star or whatever you call in just about 2 miles into Ok off 35N. that is where we usually go, and I do believe there is one off rout 75/69 as well.. Ya none of the casinos I found around here are that great, but I consider it a cheap date LOL!!!

Yeah, I forgot that one DD. Lucky Star casino. The indian one is called Thunderbird, I think. Dunno of any others. Lucky Star is the one that has the commercials on tv that say "feels like Vegas". I guess if you don't look at your surroundings too much any bar with a slot machine in the back room would "feel like Vegas" too. :D
I thought most of the casinos in OK were basically pole barns full of slot machines.
The Quapaws just opened one up around here - it's at the tristate monument - OK, KS, MO. It looks like a real casino, they dropped some serious bucks into this one. My son-in-law's brother-in-law works down there - he told me to wait a bit before going down there. They are being absolutely mobbed, they ran out of club cards, and they haven't hired enough staff yet.

When I responded to DD, I was trying to think whether gambling was even legal around here. It didn't used to be, and the only casinos that were allowed were the indian-owned type. I always heard stories about the police shutting down various bars because they'd have a slot machine or two in some hidden back room. BUT....we now have the lottery stuff around here, which is sorta like gambling (I know, you're thinking "not really", but hey, this is Oklahoma.....we used to have people arguing whether raffle tickets for school fund raisers was "gambling" or not :D ).
