I am installing Vista 64 on a PC I just built. Everything went great in the installation, until I installed the drivers. After the drivers were installed, the PC rebooted itself (this is normal I think). But Windows will not load. I get the black screen where it says "windows error" and gives the options of starting windows normally, safe mode, etc. But I cant even choose an option because the PC does not respond to the keyboard. So it just does an endless cycle of rebootings and not being able to load properly.
It also says to put your installation disc back in and do a repair. I put the disc in, but it never boots to it. I went into BIOS and made CDROM the first boot priority, even removed all other boot devices, but still nothing (yes I saved the changes). I tried f12 which tells it what to boot from and it lists the HDD as selected, but again the keyboard does not work at this point so I cant change that. The keyboard does work long enough for me to select an option right when the PC starts to boot, like going into BIOS. I would even just re-install windows at this point, but cant get it to boot from the disc. Any ideas?
