Myst IV not launching

Having a problem with this game not launching. First, I do have Myst III and have no problem with that. Myst III came on CDs. Myst IV comes on DVD Rom. It took nearly 30 minutes to install, probably because it is 8 gig. in size. No errors on the install. When I click play, the games just disappears, no messages.

Here are my computer specs, which do meet the games requirements.

HP Pavillion AMD processor 90 MHZ
384 megs. RAM
Running XP Pro with SP2
display adapter is xpert99/xpert 2000 Rage 128 32m
DVD Rom LiteON DVD 16D1P
42 gig hard drive with 13 g free after the install

Does all your hardware meet the games minimum requirements? Which graphics card are you using? Do you have at least DirectX 9? Is your graphics card driver up to date? Is your PSU supplying enough power to your graphics card at a full load?

These are the system requirements for Myst IV :

Minimum System Requirements
System: P3 700MHz or equivalent
RAM: 128 MB
Video Memory: 32 MB
Hard Drive Space: 3500 MB

Recommended System Requirements
System: Pentium IV or equivalent
RAM: 256 MB
Video Memory: 64 MB
Hard Drive Space: 8000 MB

On the face of it you don't have the processor to run the game unless that's a typo.

edit : Since I think it is what driver/DX updates do you have?

Thanks for replying. I called the game company and they said I don't have a supported video card. On the game package they tell what cards are supported......very, very fine print. So, I have ordered a new card and additional RAM. Will keep you posted.
