Recently when I am in a MS application I will be typing away then I notice my cursor has jumped up 3 lines and I am now typing into that line.. I have lowered my mouse sensitivity but that has not helped, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Might sound obvious but there's no chance you have a key stuck down is there?

In the mouse properties make sure the hide pointer while typing is turned off.

It may not be your mouse, but your keyboard. I had a similar problem and it turned out that I was accidentally hitting the function key (easy to do on a small keyboard) which then switched me to the built in arrow keys (I have an HP laptop), which jumped me up several lines. Not sure if that is what is happening to you, but I solved it by going to a full size keyboard, and have not had the problem since.
