I'm using Vista Home Premium x64. I am trying to install Kaspersky 2009 into my computer. However, it won't let me because it detects 2 other antivirus programs on the computer. The two that are showing are AVG and Avast. However I uninstalled both of them correctly using the control panel. I have done a search for any files remaining from those 2 programs but I can't find any. I also defragged the hard drive and used ccleaner. I also restarted the computer but to no avail. What can I do?

If you don't already have it, download and install ccleaner (google: ccleaner).

This will remove all traces of other programs, especially if you run the cleaner and then use the "registry" tool. Allow ccleaner to remove anything it finds.
then try installing Kaspersky again.

Run ccleaner every day if you spend any amount of time on the Internet.

You are going to have to manually search the registry. Make sure you make a system restore point before deleting any registry keys.
