24" samsung, this is my baby. I'm praying it's not defective or something.
The pixel looks like different colours from different angles. Red/blue/white/green...I have no idea what this means. Hope there's a fix? I hope it doesn't spread!?
I'm trying Jscreenfix right now, hope it works. If not, do you know if samsung's standard warranty will cover this? Can you tell I'm worried!?!?

If it's one pixel I doubt it's covered by any warranty - most manufacturer warranties won't cover dead pixels until a certain number or percentage are DOA or in a 'fixed state'.
Hard to say if there's something to be worried about - others around it could become effected - or it's jsut one DOA pixel and you're fine.

Different colors from different angles?
Sounds like some mountain dew splattered and dried on the screen, and is acting like a prism.

Some people say you can flick the screen and try to revive it.

I tried several methods I found via google (massaging screen, tapping with pen, humming voodoo chants etc), none of which have worked :(
Tried calling 1800 samsung to see what they had to say about their warranty and they put me on hold for 15 minutes, **** that. I guess I'll just deal with seeing the dead pixel from now on. Just hope it doesn't spread. Thanks for the help folks.

just fyi, whatever that is, its not a dead/stuck pixel. a dead/stuck pixel is either completely white or completely black (from any angle). have you tried cleaning your monitor screen? i agree with xenawp, you probably sneezed on it or coughed on it and thats whats goin on.

No, it's definitely the pixel. I know what you mean with the prism of light thing, but i think I'm just seeing the RGB in the pixel. If I step back it looks white, but up close you can see the different colours.
Wish it was a sneeze :( lol

Had a stuck pixel when I first got my Eee PC which was real bright and smack bang in the middle of the screen, just pressed it lightly with my finger and its been gone for months. Unfortuantely you don't seem to be that lucky :(

Where did you buy your LCD? Most places go by how many/percentage bad pixels you have before they return them. I opted to buy my LCD at Staples as they said I could return it if there were ANY dead pixels, I paid a little more, not much, and they are just down the road.
