GPU Fan Control Issue

For some reason the automatic control for fan speed is stuck at 100% in the nvidia control panel. Sometimes manages the speeds correctly and sometimes it doesn't and I do not know what to do. It's very frustrating to manage directly. Any suggestions? This is a 7900GT using the latest drivers.

First thing I'd try is uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers.

I restarted my computer and so now its apparently fixed.
