Hello all
I keep trying to install my printer ( witch is a shared printer from my home server ) and it keeps saying the printer spooler service is off. The exact error message is
Windows cannot connect to the printer,
The local printer spooler service is not
running. Please restart the spooler or
restart the machine.
restarting the system does not work. what are my next options ?
Thanks in advance

Control Panel->Admin tools->Services-> find the print spooler service and Start it & set it to automatic.

O My God !!!!! This thing is persistent ? O.K. so I restart the spooler service put it on automatic.
As soon as I try connecting the printer it turns off. This is one of many reasons why I keep my main system running XP. Love Vista but breath XP.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ya I made that screen shot a little fast. I know its running and its set on automatic Thanks GLC. All in All it still dos not work. I finally made the decision to convert to vista. Im loving it but when everything works. But when something doesn't its hell. Im running Vista business on my laptop and ultimate on my desktop. the ultimate copy works fine but the business doesn't. Maybe Microsoft said lets make businesses need people to fix things to keep the economy going.
how the hell knows , all I know the simplest of tasks are such a problem !@%*^$%#@$^*
