This video by Corsair (http://www.corsair.com/cinema/movie.aspx?id=622747) made me laugh... their little explanation why a good power supply is essential.

Nice little video.

Wish they would have said what brand it was, and shown their power supplies.

That's pretty funny, it really gets the point across of why you shouldn't cheap out on power supplies. The video will come in handy when explaining why not to get a "budget" power supply. Nice find.

I just happened to look at it while printing off my rebate forms for my RAM and power supply. I have to say.. I'm very impressed with the overall quality of the power supply... but putting it in a draw string sock inside the box was a little over the edge.... not sure what I'm going to do with all the power connectors either LOL... even after I plugged everything in, I have 8 more standard 4 pin connectors, 7 more SATA connectors, 1 floppy drive connector, 2 PCI-E connectors left.... almost makes me wish I spent the extra on the modular power supply.

Dave, I've been using the 520HX modular recently. It's sweet.

I went with a 650w unit as it was a bit of a sweet spot from a price/value standpoint... The 520w would most likey have covered my power needs and was only $20 more. Live and learn. It took a bit of untangling and pulling, but at least the Antec 300 has a nice spot behind the hard drives to tie up excess cable, so it's not looking too scary in the case.

yes that is a pretty sweet unit...

I have mine coupled with my Asus P5E-VM and Q6700 (300x10) and a 9600gt and it works very nice...
