Hi all,

I bought a Zotac 9800GTX+ board,
but i'm confused a little about the connection of the aux power from the PSU.

The connector on the card is an 8 Pin, with the board I got an 8 Pin to 2X - 6 Pin connectors. But, the PSU itself has no built-in 6Pin connectors.

My PSU is a 500W , 12V and until recently powered a Radeon 1900XTX.
I think (you may correct me if i'm wrong) that my PSU is good enough, and I really don't want to buy a new one for the built in connectors.

I also got 2X - 6Pin to 4Pin connectors, which means I need to connect 4X - 4 Pin, and that means I need to get Y cables to have enough 4 Pins for the card and the other devices. Is all this splitting ok? How to split and from which rail ?
In short, What to do?

The picture of that card on Newegg shows it comes with two 4-pin Y connectors.

You would be better off to get a PSU with native PCI-E power.
Here is a good one- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817703015

If the PSU is a quality unit then the adapters should work fine.
