Blank Screen on boot

Ive been happly using my XFX 7600 GTXT for about 2 years now =]

when a friend up graded to a 9800, he donated me his 8600GT so I could DX10

I spawwed in the 8600GT and did a clean install of Vista Ultimate x86
Everyhting went okay and Vista installed correctly. The prolbem came when I installed the Nivida drivers, after rebooting, I got the loading bar at the bottom then the screen went blank and stays liek that untill i force a reboot.

she boots fine in safe mode using the defult drivers.

I used several different versions of Nivida's drivers all with the same issue, after a load of googleing I have found no solution

any help is apperciated

Are you sure that it is the one he says it is? I would boot in safe mode, uninstall the drivers, reload windows and open up device manager to shed some light on the subject. Then click on the update drivers tab in the windows once you are viewing the card. Or use windows update to just automatically update the drivers.

Did you get the correct drivers for Vista?
