Hi

I have a Logitech G3 mouse, and I have been trying to get it to install correctly for a long time. I gave up on it many months ago and now I'm trying again.

I run the driver install program and it says the everything installed correctly.
It installs a utility called SetPoint the is supposed to access the setting for the mouse.

I have done some research and found screen shots that show that there is supposed to be a tab called My Mouse.

This lets you select the mouse you are using and set the options.

The problem is that even after downloading and installing the latest version of the driver install program, when I open set point there is no tab to access these options.

When I access mouse controls through control panel I get an error message that say I need to install a Microsoft mouse.

Once in to the mouse utility, checking the driver shows that it is still using the Microsoft driver not the Logitech one.

I have posted this on the Logitech forum and gotten no response.

The Mouse seems to work OK but I would like to access the settings, I can change most of the stuff in control panel by selecting a similar style Microsoft mouse.

When I try and install the driver through control panel I direct it to the Logictech folder but it doesn't detect anything to install.

Anyone have any ideas.

Mike

I'm betting you used to have a M$ mouse and you installed its software. Uninstall it.

Hi

Thanks for the information.
I uninstalled the Microsoft software and that solved the problem.
