Wireless keyboard/mouse combo for home entertainment center computer

I'm looking for a wireless/laser mouse combo for my home entertainment center computer with a range of at least 15-25 feet. Can anyone recommend such a combo? Most information on Newegg doesnt give the range of their products, and my current one (Microsoft Comfort Keyboard/Laser mouse 6000) only has a range of about 6 ft (if you sit right in front of the entertainment center), but with a 42 inch HDTV LCD monitor, it's a little hard on the ol' eyes...lol!

Most of the bundle use a receiver and the keyboard and mouse have a transmitter in them, or the keyboard has a transmitter and the mouse is wirelessly connected to the keyboard which acts as a repeater. So far, the only one Ive found to do what I want is the Microsoft 7000 bundle, but was looking for alternatives. Thanks for the input tho.

They use Radio frequency so that you get really good range, like 50 feet. Each has some type of built in mouse, trackball or touchpad. I have the one with the trackball for a home theater PC and it works great.

It's marketed under a different brand (Keysonic) over here in the UK and surprisingly enough, looks to be significantly more expensive over your side of the pond! They retail over here for around £25 and whilst I've found nothing better for controlling my HTPC in a Windows (rather than Media Centre) environment, I'm not sure the build quality is worth $90. Maybe see if it's available cheaper elsewhere, if it is, then it would get my vote for what you want.

Something to consider about distance. I have an HTPC hooked up to a 46" Samsung LCD running 1920x1080 resolution. While sitting too close is uncomfortable, so is sitting too far away. I have to zoom webpages a fair bit to view them comfortably from my sofa (maybe 10-15 feet away), and anything not zoom-able involves a fair bit of squinting at that distance.

Ive found that for viewing web stuff on a big TV the 720 resolution works better. Obvisously it makes everything bigger. You could create a hotkey to swap between 720 and 1080 depending on what you are doing.

Thanks for the info ya'll. I checked out the page, and probably will go with one of them.

Unfortunately, the Vizio 42 inch I have has a max resolution for PC of 1366x768 (even tho though it is a 1080i for HD TV), and trying anything higher results in some really wierd screen effects...lol! Sometimes it wont even display, so sitting farther back is ideal. Course, I bought the HDTV when no one had ever heard of Vizio, so I imagne that by now, the latest models will have a better screen resolution. But, money being tight, I'll keep the HDTV I have and make the icons and text smaller...lol!
