Hey,

I got an RMA number from NCIX last week for a faulty dvd-r drive worth $33.

I called back today just to get some information but apparently they are not open. Odd because I didn't know it was a holiday in vancouver today :p.

So they say I should ship everything listed in the box:
- ATA 20x super allwrite dvd drive
- nero 7 essentials
- mounting screws
- quick installation guide

Now my question is, I don't remember if it came in with an ATA cable. Do dvd drives come with an ATA cable? So I'm just wondering if i have to send it back to them. Anyone have experience with this?

Thanks!

Ship whatever came with it - the can look at the PN and know what's supposed to be in there.

SATA cables with optical drives seem to be a hit or miss deal. Retail or OEM, I've had both with cables and without.

Does the "box" list the cable?

So I called back today and they said retail comes with ata cables even if its not listed. But I can't recall but they said if I don't send it back they won't send me a new one so I just sent the cable in too.
