No, Dont know what happened... Havent used it in awhile next thing I know the drive wasnt showing up in my computer anymore or playing discs. I know it works because ive tryed 3 different drives and they all say the same thing..

Is the drive recognized in the Bios? Have you tried a different cable from the drive to the MOBO? Is the drive getting power?

Just for kicks, It may not hurt to try adding hardware and see what it says.

Unfrtunatly, that didnt help me glc. I did find a fix to the problem though... for anyone else that may have this problem, here is the link to the extra steps you may need to take is the microsoft help doesnt work...
