computer= Dell Optiflex Pentium 200/64 ram

problem= hdd fdisked (enabling lrage disc support etc) and formatted, when win98se installation cdrom installed, i get error message "compressed file on disc-installation halted".

question= what is cuasing this and what wld be the solution to enable win98 setup to work properly? I thought the fdisk.format would wipe all files etc from the hdd???!!!

If you try to set up windows98 from the command prompt then use this Command line = SETUP /IS .. if you trying to setup Windows from the cdrom the copy the Win98 setup folder from the cdrom to the hard drive first - and then setup from the hard drive ...
