I recently bought a new pc and I want to use Clonezilla to clone my old hard drive. I have a usb to sata adapter (thanks to you guys previously) so my question is: Do I remove the new hard drive and hook it up to the old computer via the adapter? Then once it's done, I put it back and all is good?
Also, will cloning a drive with Windows XP on it cause any problems with the new pc which has Vista 64bit on it? Can I clone the C drive alone, and not the D drive (which is the windows recovery partition)?
Thanks in advance.
Are you saying you want to remove Vista and put XP on the new computer?

I know I'm horrible at explaining this stuff, so let me give it another go.
I want to know if there will be any sort of conflict between the two...if I clone the older hard drive, which has XP on it, will Xp and Vista 64 cause any problems, or will the new pc just boot up as if xp isn't even on there?
Cloning the drive will totally replace what's on the drive. I don't think this is what you want to do.
Pull the old drive and use the USB adapter to copy your files to the new computer. You can use Windows Explorer to copy what you need, do NOT use cloning software.

Yeah, you know what? Good thing I asked as I hadn't thought of it that way. :)
Thanks.
