Hi,

I want to be able to record the audio off of the phone line plugged into my PC's modem.

I have a great message on my voicemail (cellphone) from my two year old who has just started talking properly, and I want to keep it. The voicemail service deletes all the messages automatically after 10 days so time is of the essence here!

I'm sure it is quite simple, but how can I get the PC to record like this?

Just to be clear, I have no problem getting the message to play (I can either have the PC dial the appropriate numbers, or do it from a different extension).

Thanks,

David.

I've no idea if this will work but it is a suggestion.
If you can get it to play then open sound recorder (comes with windows) but change prefered recording device in Edit > Audio Properties so that it is your modem rather than your sound card. Get it to play and record away.
Hope that works - if not post back and I'll have a rethink.
