Go to your system properties and highlight and copy the OEM registration ID. Open REGEDIT and do a search for it. In the same folder, you should find the product ID code.

Does that work for MS Office 2000? I have it OEM but lost the key and M$ customer support gave me this brilliant solution: "Sir, you better buy another copy of the program". Great! Their fre*kin' program can't be found anymore and even if I do, it costs 380 bucks!

Hi wolfie ...If you download (Belarc advisor)..let it map your system,it will store all tour product keys, and you will be able to find them anytime you want-or-need them...GaryD.

Mouse1, thanks, that was a neat program. Hey Nuclear, if you want I can send you an oem Office 2000 with key for just the price of freight, only deal is you have to pay in pesos.

ms programs display the product key in the help about - the serial number says xxxxx-123-456789-xxxxx or something of the like and that is your key (i think)

That is true for Office 97, but not for 2000.
BTW, Blankman, I forgot to thank you for your kind offer.

Uhm, I don't know if it works on Office 2000, but some OEM MS products will install with all 9's as their serial number. It's worth a shot Nuc.
