When installing 2 of my programs which I intended to go on drive 'C' &/or 'D'
they ended up on 'Computer' instead.??? When clicking the Hew. Pack. SC6200C
Icon, up comes a message--[No applications are registered for this event].
When running the search program for this nothing shows up anywhere on
the computer. I would like to get rid of this icon but no delete key shows up and it will not
drag. It is the result of a sour installation as the install disc will not work with Win.me.
Have ordered a updated CD for "Me' [$11.00 !!!] from HP.
Any ideas on removing this would be appreciated.....Thanks---
See pic below.
Thanks.

It seems to me you were installing a Scanner. Consult your scanner manual first. Also why in the world do you have your hard drive partitoned in 6 parts. This could cause problems on installations if you don't pay attention to where things are going. Try installing the scanner again then uninstalling it. There is a way to get rid of the icon in the registry. But I would have to see your computer. Find out where the key has been inputed. Then delete it. That wouldn't be a good idea for you unless your comfortable with the registry. If... and Only if you are comfortable with the registry. Type, in the "find" or "Find next" the full description of the icon, exactly how it appears in "Computer" if it finds it take a look at how it is structered. Most keys can just be deleted without any effect to the operation of your computer.

 Good Luck!!
