what is the reason for two different protocols. i get stuck with the password box using client but if i load windows logon, i can't see my other pc on this cable router split sys.

Can you describe your layout/network operating systems? On a very simplistic level, protocols are sets of rules and standards that different consortiums have agreed upon (everybody shakes hands and plays nice in the sandbox). One of the most important reasons that they exist is Time, also known as the syncronization of analog or digital signals across a network.

It's simple. You need to logon with Client for Microsoft networks to log onto even a peer to peer network.

You don't get any logging in via windows login, or cancelling the login at bootup.
