No, I've had nothing but problems with Lite-On CD-Roms, but their CDRW drives seem to be holding up fine. We've been selling them for over a year without a single return. We sold 5 CD-Roms, 4 came back within 3 months, the fifth within 6 months.

The Lite-On CD writers work great in my opinion, Plextor quality for much less.

How many dead Lite-On CD drives would you like? I have a bunch here. Garbage.

Anyway for $28.00 + $5.00 shipping you can get a Sony 52x from newegg.com.

Gee,

I must be one of the lucky ones! I have never had any problems with my 52x lite-on cd-rom and it has been used like crazy. Go figure!
