access 2000 database problems

I have been using access 2000 for many of my databases and find that it is superb. but when I put the database on my laptop it opens for aproximatly 10 seconds and closes down with no error messages. I came from win98se to win nt4.0 administrator. I do not know if it is the office software, file permissions (which are currently full) or the win nt operating system.

how can I get the database to work properly?

Do any of the Office apps work? like Word or Excel? or is it just a problem with Access?

I think the problem is solved.

the office 2000 pack I was previously using was the original( I dont know what its called SR0 ?? ) but I added the access program from a SR1 version so all the others were working fine but access did'nt. so I removed it all and reinstalled SR1.
