I hear a lot of people talk about converting to .wav files before burning, but i dont have to with EZ CD creator. i just use mp3's. infact, if i do try to use .wav files, it records about 2 minutes of a song before it starts over. does anyone know why this is?

If you need to convert MP3 files to WAV (as with live recordings sometimes) you must have them converted in the correct frequency range. A good program for this is MP32Wav which is free to download at ZD Net.com.
Normally, if your system is good enough, you do not have to convert them to write them.

well, what i meant to ask was, why dont all cd burner's software use mp3's instead of .wav's. .wav is a really huge format, and mp3's cut out the stuff we cant hear. i had a 10 second song in .wav format that was 1.2 megabytes! it just seemed outrageous to use up hard drive space, when mp3's burn just as well (or better, in my case)

All cd players will be able to read .wav files once they are burned to cd, but not all will be able to read mp3 files that are burned on a cd (I think some of the newer ones can read mp3's, but correct me if I'm wrong). HTH

Floppyman is correct, not all cd players can read mp3's, but there are alot of newer players that can.
