What is the best file sharing program out there right now? i heard about kazaa shutting down. is there anything else that stands above the rest in your opinion? thanks.

I'm going to go ahead and let it be known that this type of thread is generally the type that leads towards talk of warez. PC Mechanic does not tolerate warez discussions, so please... careful where you tread on this topic.

That said... I like Morpheus (http://www.musiccity.com/).

how is this warez? you can get morpheus from almost anywhere on the internet. I got it from a link on msn.com. ive downloaded it also from downloads.com.

The program itself isn't warez, but that file that are being shared usually are.

That being said, Morpheus and WinMX is good.

ZeroPaid (http://www.zeropaid.com) will give you a complete list of all the peer-to-peer programs currently in use. They also give reviews of the programs, discussion groups....lots of stuff.

Bearshare, easiest for newbies, with built in pron blocker.
Morpheus, full featured for multimedia (movies and MP3's with built in player/browser etc.)
WinMX, too complicated, multiple server connects, depending on filetype. I found it much slower than others.
Limewire, the original, now a little dated.
