i bought a dual cpu motherboard.can i only use one cpu.the info in the manual does not say.

Hi Karen,
What type of motherboard/processor is this? With some you can use a "dummy" CPU in place of one of the slots and use just one processor.

it is a Tyan( flip chip) motherboard (2507 tiger 203).If i do need a dummy cpu.Where would i get one to buy.
what would happen if i should install cpu without dummy.(would there be any damage)

In the manual (http://www.tyan.com/support/html/manuals.html) for the board it says:
Intel Pentium III FC-PGA processor (500 MHz through 1 GHz) or a single FC-PGA type Celeron processor can be used on this board.
And the supported CPU list it shows the same thing, you can only use a single Celeron with this board.
