I believe I have hit on a way to limit terrorist activity in this country. It is simple. A Muslim's greatest adversion is to swine. (I hope I'm right about that. If not this whole thing is not sensible). What's wrong with letting it be known that, if caught and convicted, You will spend your sentence with a pig in your cell. If you die and your body is recovered it will be soaked in pig's blood and buried with a pig's carcass. Therefore they cannot get to heaven, therefore no incentive to die killing us. Opinions please.

Wouldn't that be considered cruel and unusual punishment under the Constitution?
That is, if you are being serious.

well, i'm not entirely sure that muslims really believe they won't go to heaven if they get soaked, wraped, buried with, etc. pig parts. That idea has been floating around the net since 9-11, but it just sounds like a false net-rumor to me.
Lock them up with the pigs and after enough time those pigs will become the virgins that were promised.
But then after some more time they will just become another spent pig.
I heard the terrorists shaved their bodies before the act of terror. Now, was that to look more like the pigs that they really are or to look better to the pigs that they will end up getting? :D

Or you could make them attend every N.O.W. and other feminist meeting in the US. Just put a dog collar on them and have the women lead them up to the front and tie them up on stage.
Cruel and unusual, yes.

Like the Jews, Moslems consider swine to be "unclean", therefore unfit for consumption. This attitude makes sense from a health standpoint in times and places where sanitary cooking practices aren't observed.
I really don't think consorting with swine will keep anyone from any religion from going to heaven, especially if forced into it, or tricked.
Willfully consuming pork might be a sin in either religion, but using pig blood, etc will hardly be a deterrent to a fanatic who is ready to go meet God face to face.
Just occured to me, cannibals call human meat "long pig". I wonder if the prohibition against swine was merely a tool to stop people from eating each other? If you like the taste of one meat, you'll probly crave the other too.
enough pigs, I'll get naseous going on in that line

Your too late Carl with your idea. Gen. "Black Jack" Pershing, during his stint as Commander of U.S. Army forces in the Phillipines prior to WW1, did something simular. After the Moros' ( a Muslum rebel group ) attacked and killed a number of US soliders, he had rounded up about 20 of the rebel leaders. 18 were tried, found guilty, and executed. It was done by a fireing squad, that dipped their rounds in lard. And then the bodies were wrapped in pig skin. And sent home with the 2 remaining survivors as a warning. The Army had no trouble after that.
A bit of triviel history that I came across during research for a history class when I was in school way too many years ago.
