I have an Apollo P2150U printer and am using Windows 2000 pro. When I got it, I was using Windows ME. After I switched to 2000, I downloaded an updated driver, but it never did work right. So today I decided to try it again, but it isn't working at all now. A message pops up the it cannot print because no printer is detected. The connection is to a USB port.

Hi again, cawillydoc

This is just to give you something to try until someone else
comes along (since I don't have experience with Win2000Pro..
none of the pcs I've fixed were running that [most of those
machines are still running fine!])

Anyway, looks like the Apollo should have an external power
supply (it doesn't draw all it's power through the USB plug,
like some scanners and cameras). Does it seem to power up OK?
No strange indicator lights? You could try powering it on
before you power up your pc. If it's not on, I don't think
Windows will find it on the USB port (since they're "hot-swappable"
...don't need to check spelling: it's probably wrong)

If Win2000 has a SysInfo type utility, does it show all the
drivers loaded ok? I suppose it's possible an older driver is
still installed? When you got the latest Win2000 driver, was
it the 9.3 MB file from the ap-sure.com/myapollo/support site?

And do you have any trouble with any other USB devices? Does
your USB root hub show OK in Device Manager?

...this should do till some Win2000 folks come along

...Good luck
...Gary

I completely forgot that I had posted this problem on the internet. I was able to locate, download and install the correct and updated driver. I appreciate your advice though and have added to my list of possible fixes.
