I am attempting to fix a problem that has started since I installed Windows 98se and took out Windows 95a. The computer is a TriGem 2001 and has a Pentium cpu. Ever since I installed the new operating system, the clock isn't keeping time correctly. Every thing else seems to be working fine. Can anyone help with this problem?

Sounds like perhaps the battery is dying or dead.

I thought of that, is there anything else that might be causing this to happen?
As I am in California and the computer is in Arizona, I really want to run down all of the options, before I start working on the computer.

I live in Tempe, Arizona. Small world. Is the clock off by any certain amount of time like almost exactly an hour? If so Regional settings might be adjusting for non existant Daylight Savings time. Also, make sure that the Time Zone is set SPECIFICALLY to Arizona and NOT just Mountain Time. We don't do Daylight Savings and therefore most BIOS today, starting with WIN98se, have a separate Time Zone for Arizona.

I grew up in Tucson and that is where the computer is. I am pretty sure that I set that to Arizona because I had to remove the checkmark to keep the computer from adjusting for Daylight savings time. I will pass the imformation along and see what is what. Thanks and any other ideas anybody has, please send them along. Thanks again.
