The easiest way to backup your outlook info is to copy your .PST file, the PST file holds all of your emails, calender, contacts information etc etc etc.
This is usually stored in c:\Windows\local settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
easiest is to do a search for *.pst and copy these files to your backup drive. You might have 2 pst files one called "archive.pst" and the other usually outlook.pst
The PST file does not include your account details though, you could send an email to yourself with all this information in so you have a copy of it in your PST file.
My copying your PST file you will not need to spend any money buying fancy backup tools etc.
