Comanche 4

Hi all,

Has anyone played Comanche 4? What are your opinions on this game as it looks really good. But I'm not sure if I should fork out the money for it. Many Thanks.

They have a demo for it if you really want to find out.

For being a new release, the graphics do not impress me. But, it is a simulator, so let it not be judged on graphics alone (though I think a simulator should be true to life). I have a soft heart for sims. X-wing has to be the all time best. Next would be the original Gunship 2000. Then the original Comanche.

As for Comanche 4, it is hard to beat these old games, but still I would rank it high. The only thing that would make it better is having one of those Air Force helmets with the optical overlays and the pupil-guided turret programs. :) Wishful thinking. My advice: get the demo and see for yourself.

I tried this demo a while back and was impressed somewhat with it. I'm not a big heli sim nut, but the game was nice to look at, and seemed like a solid title. If I was into helicopter games I'd give it a 6 on a scale of 1 - 10. (10 being the jackpot).
