Cookies:index.dat stops select all & delete

I'm trying to select all and delete all the thousands of files in a Cookies folder but the file " index.dat " which is included when I "select all" is not deletable which leaves me with the only option of deleting the cookies one by one. Is there any way around this ?

Select all, hold down the CTRL key, click index.dat to unselect it, then delete.
Otherwise, try cleanall.bat from PCMag utilities (Fred Langda I think).

Or, you can highlight the index.dat and from the Edit (on the Toolbar) select INVERT SELECT!
