Display Messed up

I just installed xp about a month ago and now the display is messed up.

I am seeing blue flickers and lines over graphics.
Durning the boot i see some garbage, it looks like someone put underscores across the screen.

i have a feeling the problem is with my video card and xp..

winxp
geforce2 pro
soundblaster live

i have tried the drivers from the geforce cd/winxp drivers/and the Detonator

sometimes the problem goes away for an hour or so, after switching the drivers..

iam really not too great with computers..
