Nascar 4 Sound Trouble on EPOX 8KHA+

Hi All,
Just put the finishing touches on my new system,
so I decided to do a little racin.Everything installed great,
and it looks and plays awesome,but I cant hear any sound.I installed
the patch for nascar 4 also.While installing its plays a sound(wav file) and asks
if you can hear it.I did hear it and clicked yes.I tried all different options
in the sound menu,but still nothing.The epox mobo has built in AC97 Digital Audio(by VIA VT8233)All other sounds on my system sound ok.I also installed
driver from the epox CD.Any help will be Greatly appreciated.

i had the same problem on Nascar 4 on the 8k7a board, i contacted sierra and they said it is a problem with the nascar 4 sound playing on epox boards with onboard sound. I got a soundblaster live 5.1 for 30 bucks and the sound on nascar 4 is great.

I just put my old soundblaster in it.
Sounds good enough for me.
