i divided my hard drive into C,D,E,And F.
I have my opr sys.in C (win98).
I would like to put Aol in D Drive.
I would like to put office in E drive.
I would like to put Music etc in F Drive.
Would this function like this?
if so when i install a program ,how do direct it to other drives ,except C drive.( taking that it installes itself automatically)

The majority of programs out there will let you decide where you want to install a program to. It will either prompt you for an install directory for which you can type in an alternate, or it may have a browse button beside the default installation directory for which you can click on browse, then change the default directory. It should work fine that way, I have two drives that are broken up into C,D,E,F, and G.

i have win 98,modem and mother board drivers on c.
i tried installing creative blaster sound card on drive d...during installation
it needs 'catalog3.cab' from win 98...i skip and continue installlation
installation...at the end oh installlation ...it says audio hq required dev con 32.dll.

The cabs can be found on your Win98 installation cd.

if i have win 98 in Drive C...and i install some program in the other drives...
there may be times when certain file in drive C cannot be read by the other program in a different drive... then i may have to install those file in the other drive.!
