Unable to see the color red on computer.

A few days ago while I was on the internet my entire screen turned pink suddenly. It stayed that was for a few seconds, then the color started to fade away. Ever since then the color red has not shown up on my computer. The only colors I am able to see are green, blue, and yellow. Most of the screen looks like it has a grayish blue tint to it. If anyone has any idea what caused this and how I can fix it, I would appreciate the help.

I think your monitor took a dump, but the video card may have crapped out. Hook the monitor up to a different computer and see if you get the same result. If not, then I woould suspect the video card. To test THAT theory, hook another monitor up to your computer.

It could also be the monitor cable or the connection to the video card as well. I have that problem on my bench machine at work. It's connected to a KVM with some cheap extension cables and the one end of the cable is flakey. I give it a twist and the colour goes back to normal.
