ickHard drive locked up last week order new hard drive.Western digital 20g ultra
ata 100. I changed the inturnal setting to run in 33 ide. When booting will pick up hard drive. When trying to load windows 98 the foolowing happens:
1. W98 Setup error
2. W98 Setup caused aGeneral Protection Fault in module user.exe at 0001:OCBA
3. W98 Setup caused aGeneral Protection Fault in module user.exe at 0002:OCBA
4. run-time error R6001-null pointer assignment
Homebuilt computer

1. motherboard PA2013 web-cite www.fic.com.tw
2. processor 550 AMDk6
3. 512 sdram pc 133

Only one stick of 512, I do have 1 128 not installed and 1 64 not installed will try to dsiable L2 cache and useing the 128 or 64

Hi Larry1955,

Try disabling the L2 cache in BIOS. Also, try doing the Win98 install with just 1 stick of RAM.
