I need to format my HD and reinstall windows, but I am having problems getting to the dos prompt to run FDISK. Is there a better way to do this with ME that wasn't available with 95/98? And how can I restart the computer in command prompt only?
Thanks!

You have to boot the machine with a system disk.

Okay, I've now gotten the computer to start under command prompt only with the system disk, but unfortunately neither FDISK nor any other DOS commands seem to work. This is frustrating since I am not a newby, been using Windows and DOS for 10 years now.

When the machine boots to an a:\ prompt you wanna type fdisk.
You should go to the home page and click on harddrives and get some more information.
