Cannot install printer

hello,

Concerning Windows 98 SE.
When I double click the "Add Printer" icon, nothing happens.
It is impossible to install any printer however I installed already several printers on this machine. ( local and network )
Any suggestions?

If you have the disc with the printer drivers, just insert the disc and install from there. You didn't specify if you had the disc and/or if you had tried that already. That's the way I do it with my HP812C. I never go through the "add printer" wizard.

You can go to add new hardware choose printer from the list click have disk and poit it to the cdrom. This will do the job.

More and more printers, those with both USB and Parallel options, require that the printer be installed from the CD and not through the Windows New Hardware Wizard in order to work properly.
