Sometimes I ream OEM on the box of a software or on the website of a software, I know that it stands for Original manufacturer Equipment, but what does this mean??

Hi aym_7,

OEM means that the hardware comes in a plain brown/white box with a driver CD and instructions. There is no fancy box or extra software included.

It's actually not intended to be sold directly to the customer with the exception of in a system. Tough competition has lead to dealers selling OEM parts and software to the end user in an attempt to gain the edge over the competition.

and warranties for OEM parts are significantly less, if at all. Ask before buying.;)

Also you get no orvery limited Tech support for the product. (As bad as normal tech support goes this may be the biggest reason to buy OEM)
