being a Mac guy, and using iTunes to both make and play MP3's, this Winamp thing is gettin me confused. it does NOT rip an MP3 from a music CD, correct?
if that is correct, what do you all suggest i use to rip MP3's?
im running win 98 and XP pro (i'd prefer something that works under XP)
I recommend Music match Juke Box (http://www.musicmatch.com/) it's great and free!

Musicmatch is too huge (and cumbersome) for my liking.
Check out CDEX at http://www.surf.to/cdex/
As a pure ripper, it's the simplest/best there is.
TONS of more audio software (a lot of it free) at http://www.audiotools.co.uk/
