New System

ok, This is my 3rd build now. I'm going to be using this one for a LAN, so I can play my friends in some multiplayer games. I've looked around a little, and this is what I think it will be. Tell me if any thing on this list might cause a problem.

asus cusl2-c (not getting tusl2-c, because I already own this one)
p3 1ghz+ stock h/f
ati 7500 ddr 64mb, (had good experiences with it, so I'm going with it again)256mb micron RAM (alreay have)
floppy
12x pioneer DVD drive
turtle beach santacruz pci
ethernet card from kingston (already have)
40gig seagate 7200 (would try scsi or raid for experience, but short on cash)

Anyone know of a good site, with a black case, with at least 6 combined ports?

Now, is the 815ep chipset in the cusl2-c any good?? Basciyl what I'm asking is it fast, and stable??

So far, thats it, any suggestins,or hardware listed that has a bad reputation, jsut say so, before I go out and buy it. thanks

ok, scratch the cusl2-c I now have the tusl2-c.....so now i could get a tualatin. I know it said only 850mhz for celeron, but could i put a 1ghz celey in there maybe???

Both of those boards will go to the 1100Mhz Celeron, the TUSL2-C will go the 1200Mhz Celeron (Tualatin). Everything looks good, but I haven't had a lot of luck with IDE Seagate drives, you might want to find an IBM or Maxtor, your call.

ooooooohhh yeha good thing you mentioned that. I had 2 seagates fail one 4.3, and one new 30 gig. I think I'll get a maxtor, and a celeron 1.2. Anyone know much about this chipset??

now excluding the motherboard, this comes to 688, I buying offline from mwave.com. After I get done with a monitor, speakers, mouse, and keyboard, It doesnt look like im saving any money. Do you think its worth it? Starting to have second thoughts about a second system. This might take a while. I dont NEED it, but I want it. here are my current system specs. I jsut want a second system to screw around on, oc with out worrying about nothaving a pc. play LAn games etc.

Scratch the TB Santa Cruz, even though I got one, and for $25.00 more go with the OEM version (Retail box only adds a 2nd CD with a bunch of shareware or trial software) of the Hercules Game Theater XP. Great sounding card that features a Metal Breakout box that has 4 USB Ports, Front Game Port, Real MIDI Ports, RCA Jacks, Digital Speaker Connections, Volume Controls, and other stuff.
I really think that it has a more powerful output than the Santa Cruz.
