Acrobat Reader/Saving forms to Insert Text?

Hi All,
I find a lot of forms on the internet in PDF format that I would like to save to my PC so I can enter typed text on them instead of hand written. I have Acrobat Reader on my PC, but I can't find a way to save these forms other than sending them to myself as an e-mail attachment. Even then I can only save them as an attachment and can not insert text. I can only print them. Does anyone know how to save this type of form (.PDF format) in another format so I can enter text and then print or am I just wasting my time?:(

I think, if you like to save those forms you can do it by just 'right clik' and "save copy as". But if you like to save those form after filling it up, you need to have full ACROBAT. I guess, you have only Acrobat reader. Please excuse me, if my assumption is not correct. Another possibility is to save them as RTF format. ( like *.RTF) ( RTF = Rich Text Format which you can't edit later).

Arup's right. The Acrobat Reader does just. . . read. If you want to edit and save a pdf then you need Acrobat (full program, not just reader).

I'll try the right click and "save as". If that doesn't work, guess I'll have to live with hand writing on the forms until I get full Acrobat.

Just now I recall, You could try with a software package known as 602 PC Suite. In fact, you can download this package from a site , address is www.software602.com; You can buy the CD which contains lots of good software for convertings files in different format. You can get a CD for $9.95 from that site. Unfortunately, I can't even spare couple of bucks. If you graciously make copi for me I would be delighted. This is not pirating. Please visit the site before making any decision.

The only way to edit a .PDF document is with Acrobat. PDF's cannot be saved as anything editable (RTF, TXT....).

I tried right click. Didn't work. No popup. I did a search for PDF editors and found a freeware version called Konvertor. Haven't had the time to play and see if it will work. You know, with the holidays and all. Anyway, as for the CD Arup, I'm on a negative budget right now myself. You might want to try out the Konvertor. It's at http://computingcentral.msn.com/FDL/ use the search window on the left. Click the downloads button, type in PDF and click go. Konvertor link will be on the second page of results.:)
