oops! I tried to move this to the software forum but no luck.
O.K. I think Nero is a darn good program; reliable; intuitive; relatively fast with some nice options. However, I wanted more info during the burning process. I've tried Easy Cd Creator, NTI Pro 2000, Dart, Click 'n Burn, and of course Nero (my fave....up 'till now!). I came across "Feurio" and downloaded the fully operational demo and update patch to recognize my burner. After some tweaking (it's loaded with features, and I mean LOADED!!!), I simulated and then wrote a burn with no problems. It's fast, but what I really liked were the time remaining, time elapsed, time block of disk, and individual track recording indicators (all in real tme of course). It also provides exhaustive info on setting up your burners parameters and instant dialogue boxes suggesting possible fixes when a burn, or setting, fails (I couldn't get it to burn at first, then it informed me that my cdrom might not support reading the text index and I might want to turn it off...I did and I was able to succesfully do a burn). At the end of the burn it gives you all the data info, then asks if you want to burn another copy, and also gives the total elapsed time of the burn MINUS the lead in and lead out. My time on a 750mb disc doing a on the fly copy from a Lite On LTD-163 DVD to a Lite On 16x10x40 writer was 4:30sec. minus the lead in and lead out. If you're a zealot like I am check it out. Any experiences with this software? TIA! http://www.feurio.com/English/Download/index.shtml
BTW, The Lite On LTD-163 DVD absolutely rocks for DAE!!!
