audio autorun

Is there a setting that controls automatic audio disk start up besides:

HKEY_USERS\Default\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
NoDriveTypeAutoRun value: 95 00 00 00

???

Data discs start up automatically as Auto Insert Notification is checked.


A friend's computer stopped automatically playing audio discs but they will play when the drive icon is clicked on.

What ever program he is using, Windows CD-Player, Media Player, WinAmp, Music Match, go to the preferances and check the play on disk insertion box.

Thanks morriswindgate, I will check for it but I think I did. This has been while back and I had forgotten until he reminded me about the problem.

You can enable automatic audio disk start up using it.

Hi,

also check under My Computer then the View option, go down to Folder Options and go the Filetypes tab. Check to see if the settings for .CDA (CD Audio Track)files and AudioCD are set up correctly. HTH
