Whenever I restart Windows (98SE), the keyboard becomes inoperative and I hear a sort of buzzing sound when moving the mouse around immediately after POST. There are no error messages. It will correct itself after two more restarts. Also there is no problem with a cold boot, it will start every time without a hitch, or restarting from the DOS prompt.

I've partitioned a 20G HDD into two 10G's. I use a special floppy to boot directley into the extended partition, which is mainly configured for game playing, and which I use the most. To make a long story short, I tried restarting from the primary drive as well with the same problem. I think I need to upgrade my BIOS chip. Currently I have an Award 4.51PG BIOS chip, Intel 880BX/ZX chipset on a Biostar M6TBA motherboard (v1.3 revised).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
