NWP.VLM Errors killing me!

Win98, PIII. Installed Kingston Ethernet card on home pc. Not networked. Now on startup before Windows98 executes, error messages general fault 121-5, error nwp.vlm not loaded first, error reader 121-5, vlm not loaded, floppy drive disabled. blah blah blah.
Removed card/software. Reinstalled. Errors still there. Funny thing - DSL hookup still works. CAN SOMEONE RESCUE ME?:confused:

Do the errors still appear BEFORE you've reinstalled the card (when it's removed)
