i have a computer with a burner that shows up in the bios setup and in the mycomputer window. but the dvd player shows up in the bios setup but isnt in the mycomputer window. the computer knows its there cuase its on on of the ide cables in the bios but it doesnt display or work in windows

help me out

Get yourself a copy of TWEAKUI and install it. Run the program and go to the My Computer tab. It will more than likely show it as a hidden drive.
